What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device. It lets the site remember something between page loads, such as whether you have already dismissed a banner or which room dates you were comparing.
Some cookies are deleted when you close the browser tab. These are called session cookies. Others stay for a set period and are called persistent cookies. We also use similar technologies such as local storage for a small number of features, and this policy covers those too.
Cookies we set ourselves
These are placed by our own website and cannot be switched off without breaking something you can see.
- Session cookie: keeps you logged in to the booking flow while you move between room selection and payment. Expires when you close the browser.
- Preference cookie: remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, so it does not appear on every page. Lasts twelve months.
- Availability cookie: stores the dates and guest count you entered so that availability stays accurate as you browse. Lasts one day.
- Security cookie: helps our server tell a real form submission from an automated one. Lasts for the length of your session.
Cookies from other companies
We use a small number of third-party services to understand how the site is used and to show our rooms on search results. These companies may set their own cookies, which we cannot read.
- Analytics: aggregated page views, traffic sources and device types. Individual visitors are not identified. Retained for fourteen months.
- Booking engine: required when you search availability or complete a reservation. Set by our booking provider.
- Embedded maps: the contact page loads a Google Map. Google may set cookies when the map loads.
- Payment processing: set only on the payment step by our card processor, used for fraud checks.
We do not run advertising retargeting pixels on this site.
Managing your choices
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies from the notice on our homepage, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing the site data in your browser and reloading the page.
All major browsers let you block cookies, delete existing ones, or be warned before a cookie is set. The help menu in your browser will point you to the right setting. Blocking all cookies will stop the booking flow from working, because the payment step needs a session cookie to finish.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when we add a service that sets cookies or when a provider changes what it stores. The current version is the one that applies to your visit.
If you want to know more about a specific cookie, email pluremi@hotmail.com with the name of the cookie and we will explain what it does. This policy was last reviewed in February 2025.
